Quaife sequential gearbox 300z6/19/2023 ![]() ![]() Having looked at the T5 box I think its possible that a bolt on spacer plate could be made fairly simply I stopped trying to get work off this site a long time ago, relax. The Getrag box is a possability, what it would need is a group of people (I count about 5 at the moment) who were sufficiently interested enough to put money down along with an engine and gearbox as a template with a fabricator with the required skills.ĪND BEFORE THE MODS DELETE THIS POSTING - I DON'T MEAN ME. The RB box doesn't look all that do-able because the width of the SR block is such that the starter motor won't fit. If you don't want to go OS Giken you can get a modified bellhousing to bolt to the RB box, Mr Taylor may still have the link. Welcome to the world of gearboxes where the parts are so expensive that either: No one can afford them, or The people who can afford them dont' want a pipsquek like me going anywhere near them. Its not like Im going to be selling loads of boxes on if I prove they can run X amount of power, how many people will buy a £5k gearbox for a 200? As a result the demand for the Quaiffe unit has dropped off to virtually nothing so they wouldnt be interested in me product testing for them. Trust have moved onto OS as a supplier of boxes because they deal with OS for various other parts. Im not interested in the Ikeya, I want a proper sequential or not at all. The fact that the cars drag racing (lots of strain on the box) and running a bigger turbo than we will so presumably more power is encouraging. Its also interesting to note that the cars running a quad plate OS Giken clutch where as I was going for a triple. T88 so bigger turbo and presumably more power than we will get with our T78.
